Heaven Gallery 11th year opening

Heaven Gallery is located at 1550 N milwaukee.

It has celebrated its 11th BIRTHDAY last Friday, July 22nd.

I sat down with David Dobie (the owner) to talk about its history for an article (SIFC).

It will be updated real soon.

Heaven Gallery is well known for variety shows. ( Fashion shows, Art shows, Music performances and film screening)

It started off as open studio at Flat Iron Building but it has established its name inside the heart of Wicker park.

Chicago is so beautiful in Summer time.

The Silver Room's 9TH ANNUAL SOUND SYSTEM BLOCK PARTY "A BETTER WORLD"

Yes! It was great!

The Block Party started from 12pm.

I went there at 6pm where people started dancing to the great music.

The heat of the sun cooled down but, the heat of the party was starting.

There were live painters and two different genres of music were playing inside and outside the SILVER ROOM.

This party is just great if you want to be around MUSIC and ART.

Sears Tower

I've been here for four years but, this was my first time visiting Sears Tower.

It is the tallest building in Chicago. The sky deck was on the 103th floor !

Amazing experience ! I felt like I was flying.

시카고에 4년이나 있었는데, Sears Tower는 오늘 처음 !

시카고에서 제일 높은빌딩. 103층까지.. 올라갔다.

위에올라가니.. 정말 하늘을 나는기분 !

This Friday (15th), I was at the Zhou B Art Center for ELEVATION opening. It was just great! I was dancing and enjoying the art by great artists !

I am going into 'marks' now.

I just love to make marks anywhere.. especially on canvas.

I don't want the circle to look circle.. I am still working on that.

Figure drawings..

I still draw figures.. even though I make more paintings.

I think figures are related in some way. i mean very much related to abstract paintings.

The curves I find on the body.. are different each time I look at a figure.

Lines are something which caught my eyes.

I see them everywhere..

curve of the road, my wrinkled bed sheet, ripple of the water... so on.

I like to simplify the line with a color.

There are so many ways you can try this.

I tried one, ten, twenty of these and finally moved on.

This is my first blog!

well, I have been painting seriously for only 4 years.

I fell in love with the lines.

Now, I started to see lines everywhere.

My blanket, ripple of water, folded fabric.. and so on.

I try to paint that in an interesting way.
